Mountain Air Express (MAX) was a short-lived United States commuter airline founded in 1996. It flew Dornier 328 turboprops under a code-share agreement with Western Pacific Airlines. Its hub was in Colorado Springs, CO. In 1997 both airlines moved their hub to Denver International Airport. Western Pacific declared Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in February 1998. This left MAX without a code-share partner and was it was sold in 1998 to Air Wisconsin which shortly thereafter became affiliated with United Express.
